Futangue Hotel & Spa

Chile

Welcome to the other side of Patagonia. Futangue Hotel & Spa is a boutique landscape hotel located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains, next to a private nature reserve in Northern Chilean Patagonia. Sitting in the meadows near Lake Ranco and the Valdivian rainforest, the hotel offers an unparalleled remote nature experience.

A pristine jewel set in the middle of a native forest-covered amphitheatre, hiding a reservoir for wild trout, close to perfection.” These are the words of Chile’s angling pioneer, Adrián Dufflocq, describing the scenery where guests can fly fish in Futangue Nature Park. An outdoor journey that has to be experienced to be believed. The park and its surrounding areas offer world-class fly fishing, for rainbow and brown trout and also for salmon like Coho, Chinook and Salar. The combination of privacy, excellent connectivity and quality accommodation is difficult to find in other destinations, in addition to the fact that most of the waters we fish have limited access to only a few fishermen.

Futangue Park is a native forest conservation project, opened to the public in 2014. Explore Lake Ranco, Chile´s largest and most beautiful lake. See unique volcanic scenery of Puyehue National Park. Wander through Valdivian rainforest, one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Go trout fishing at Pichi Lake or the beautiful Los Coipos Lake up in the mountains. Spend the day horseback riding over rivers and prairies to the look-out point across to Pichi Volcano and the Andes. Go kayaking and hike to the hidden Black Lagoon. Hike over 1,000 metres above sea level to an ancient glacial lake. Go mountain biking through Sky Trail to the highest viewing point in the park and the Pitreño Lagoon, where you may spot puma, vizcacha or condor. Take in the pure and raw nature all around you.

The Lindis

New Zealand

The Lindis is an architecturally stunning destination hotel in Ahuriri Valley on New Zealand’s South Island. The retreat is surrounded by three conservation parks, endless mountains, valleys, grasslands, and forests.

Fish for trout in one of the best fly fishing locations in the world - Ahuriri River, located in front of the lodge. Take advantage of the hotel’s stable, and go horseback riding across farmlands and through the native beech forest. Take an e-bike and explore the Ahuriri Valley, Ben Avon station, and the surrounding wetlands. Go off-roading to places that are truly hard to find. Thrill seekers can have the ultimate gliding experience soaring above the mountains from The Lindis’ own private air strip. End the day by studying the constellations above in one the clearest night skies in the world.

Caballadas

Argentina

Caballadas is a luxury riding retreat, located to the north of Lanín National Park, in the most remote and scenic part of Patagonia, Argentina. The private ranch is family owned and has been operating since 1908. The resort offers horseback riding, polo, and fly fishing experiences. Discover hidden valleys, beautiful lakes, rivers and creeks. Climb mountaintops for breathtaking views of the Andes and the Lanín Volcano. See one of the world’s wonders – the ancient Araucaria Araucana, or Monkey Puzzle tree. Explore untouched Patagonia, while camping in some of its most remote corners.
