WHY STAY
Casas Na Areia is an eco retreat, consisting of 4 restored seaside houses. The simple modern abodes are your quintessential beach escape with their white sand floors (throughout the houses, except in the bedrooms) and thatched-roofs. The landscape is at the forefront here.
Stay in one of four cottages made from sustainable materials with views to the surrounding nature. Relax in the plunge pool, facing the rice fields. Go for a thoughtful bike ride through pine forests and sandscapes to the beach or the fishing dock. (bikes are provided for guests) Take in the silence.
WHY WANDER
Go horseback riding on the beach. Spend the day on the water and spot dolphins. Discover Alentejo and enjoy peaceful landscape observation or bird watching. Visit the nearby nature reserve where you can see flamingos and dolphins. Take a day trip to Ácala island and see ancient Roman Ruins.
INDULGE IN
Country-fresh breakfast delivered in the morning. Comporta is full of rustic beachside restaurants, effortlessly preparing some of the best seafood you will taste. Visit BAR DOS PESCADORES; the iconic Sal Restaurant, Restaurante Dona Bia, Porto Santana, and the Comporta Cafe. Of course, do not miss Museu do Arroz.
GETTING THERE
