WHY STAY
Sublime is a destination landscape hotel in a charming beach town of Comporta, one hour south of Lisbon, Portugal. The 17 hectare property is surrounded by cork trees, vineyards, sand dunes, and wild beaches, creating a one-of-a-kind natural environment.
The retreat is reminiscent of an upscale Portuguese farm, with the interiors inspired by the slow life at Comporta, complete with unique modern touches and sustainable development. Many of the villas have been built around trees, in order to avoid cutting them down. Choose one of 23 suites or one of several 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom “cabana” villas, peacefully spread out through the property and integrated into the surrounding landscape. Stay at the unique Bio-Pool Suites with private terraces built on stilts (inspired by the fishing ports built by the local fisherman) for an unforgettable experience.
Spend the day reading by the pool. Wander through the organic gardens. Visit the spa and get a massage with one of the therapeutic olive oil made on the property.
WHY WANDER
Go horseback riding. Have a picnic on a deserted beach - the longest in Europe. Spend the day on the water. Discover Alentejo and enjoy peaceful landscape observation or bird watching. Visit the nearby nature reserve where you can see flamingos and dolphins. Take a day trip to Ácala island and see ancient Roman Ruins.
INDULGE IN
Fresh strawberries and tomatoes from Sublime’s own organic garden. Local seasonal creations from the hotel’s restaurant Sem Porta, where the interiors are inspired by old rice storing facilities of the area. Take part in Food Circle - Sublime’s unique dining experience.
Comporta is full of rustic beachside restaurants, effortlessly preparing some of the best seafood you will taste. Visit the iconic Sal Restaurant, Restaurante Dona Bia, Porto Santana, and the Comporta Cafe. Of course, do not miss Museu do Arroz.
