Preserving South Tyrol for future generations.
“For the sustainable development of South Tyrol, we are a multiplier and a source of inspiration. “Sustainability” has been the word on everybody’s lips for some years now. But what does it actually mean? Over the past few years, sustainability is considered to be the placing of environmental issues on an equal footing with social and economic issues. This three-pillar model, which places equal value on ecology, economy and social matters and promotes sustainable development, is more important than ever for South Tyrol and its future. It is only by adhering to this approach that our province can become the most desirable sustainable region of Europe, and it is only by following this approach that we can preserve it, intact, for future generations.
It is in times of crisis, when we are forced to reconsider our concepts and values, that sustainability can become a factor capable of making all the difference. We have woven this concept into the very fabric of our vision, mission and activity programme at IDM, as sustainability is the only value that can truly make our vision and mission come to life.”
