The best time to visit the Italian Riviera is typically during the late spring (May and June) or early fall (September and October). During these months, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, with warm temperatures and lower chances of rainfall. The region is less crowded compared to the peak summer months, allowing visitors to enjoy the picturesque coastal towns, beautiful beaches, and cultural attractions without the crowds. The high season is June through August.
Capitolo Riviera is a boutique luxury hotel nestled amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Ligurian Sea and the lush beauty of Nervi's parks, offering a unique environment where design and natural beauty blend seamlessly with the charm of the Italian Riviera. The hotel, aptly named "Capitolo" meaning "chapter" in Italian, aims to mark a new era in Nervi's hospitality narrative, and is an ideal base for discovering renowned landmarks such as Portofino and Cinque Terre.
Designed by Studio "Parisotto + Formenton Architetti," the hotel seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, maintaining the harmony between nature and architecture. The redevelopment and extension project preserved the historical landmark while incorporating contemporary elements to create a concept of "quiet luxury." Original materials such as exposed reinforced concrete and Verezzi stone were utilized, blending the expansion with the original structure.
Every room is meticulously crafted with sleek, uninterrupted lines and touches of natural wood that mirror the surrounding landscapes. The interior design seamlessly combines iconic Italian pieces from the 1970s onwards with bespoke furnishings. The hotel features various accommodation options, including the Capitolo Suite, Signature Room, and Premium Room, complete with spectacular sea views and private terraces in some, each offering a unique experience.
Relax in the outdoor swimming pool nestled between the sea and the garden. Visit the wellness hub, complete with a heated pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath and a fitness center. Slow down and enjoy the Riviera lifestyle.
Liguria, nestled in the northwest of Italy between the Mediterranean Sea and the Ligurian Apennines, is a region renowned for its stunning coastline, rich history, and vibrant culture. Its picturesque landscapes, characterized by steep cliffs plunging into the azure waters of the Ligurian Sea, have inspired poets and artists for centuries. From the bustling port city of Genoa, with its maze of medieval alleyways and grand palaces, to the charming fishing villages of the Cinque Terre (recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site), each corner of Liguria offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty. Visitors can wander through quaint seaside towns like Portofino, known for its pastel-colored buildings and luxury yachts, or explore the rugged terrain of the Ligurian Apennines, dotted with ancient hilltop villages and terraced vineyards. Diving enthusiasts can explore the marine wonders of Nervi and the Portofino Marine Protected Area, including the famed Christ of the Abyss statue. Liguria's maritime legacy extends to prestigious shipyards and marina berths, offering unparalleled sailing experiences and yacht races. It's a destination where the sea becomes a way of life, echoing the passion and spirit of exploration.
The hotel’s restaurant celebrates local produce, honoring the culinary heritage of Liguria. From delicate Taggiasca olives to the prized extra virgin olive oil, every dish embodies the region's gastronomic tradition where Ligurian coastline meets the aromas of the sea.
