Why stay

Nestled on the shores of Lake Atitlán, The Laguna Lodge Eco-Resort & Nature Reserve in Guatemala offers a serene retreat surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. This eco-friendly sanctuary seamlessly integrates into its lush surroundings, providing guests with an immersive experience in sustainable living.

Enter the Mayan world of The Laguna Lodge by boat, through the legendary Lake Atitlan. The structure of the hotel is naturally integrated into a mountain, providing beautiful views of crystal blue water and three dormant volcanoes. The Mayan-inspired suites are created from volcanic stone, adobe and palm. Step out on your private patio to a garden of coffee and banana trees. Have a candle-light dinner while listening to the sweeping lake, creating surreal ambience. Warm up by the river stone and jasper fire place.

Why wander

Hike up San Padro Volcano for panoramic views of the entire lake along old mayan trails. Take a walk from the lodge to the town of Santa Cruz. Explore the lake with kayaks, canoes, fins and masks or boat around visiting the indigenous villages. Try paragliding, mountain biking from Tecpan to Panajachel or horseback riding through coffee fields.

Indulge in

Vegetarian meals, that will not make you miss meat. The produce is handpicked from the Lodge's organic garden. Coffee from the coffee trees growing on the property. A papaya like you have never tasted before. Molten Lava cocktail made with Guatemalan rum, organic carrot and apple juice.

Getting There

Laguna Lodge is 2.5 hours west of Guatemala City. Arrange a private airport shuttle from Guatemala City to Panajachel. From there you are 15 minutes away from Laguna at which point you will take a private boat offered by the lodge.
